Work has started!
Scaffolding has been erected around St Paul's as the much awaited renovation and repair work on the guttering begins. This will continue throughout June and July. Thankfully we have had some very generous donations to enable us to make a start on this project, but we still need to raise further funds to take the whole project forwards Can you help? If you would like to make a donation, you can find details on this page. There is more information on the project on this page.
The Latest Situation: Worship is suspended
Until we are able to open again for services we will be preparing various video materials either on this site or on our Facebook page or both. These will include reflections, prayer times and services. This page will be constantly updated to keep you abreast of what is available. Look at the links below and keep an eye on the right hand column (click on the images).
Please note that, due to the repair work being done to the church we are not planning on opening for private prayer due to the inherent risks.
Becky, our vicar, has produced a simple worship sheet to help with individual worship, and shared some thoughts.
Each Sunday, the Church of England will be providing a service online which can be viewed here If you miss viewing it at the time, then the link will enable you to view it later too.
This Sunday we are organising a drive in service at St Nicholas' Church hall car park. There is only limited room, as everyone must remain in their cars. If you would like to take part, please contact Becky to book a place. By remaining in your cars, you will be able to join in the singing.
There has been a truly uplifting video produced by churches throughout the country. To watch it see our page here.
We have also added some videos of our puppets which you can find on the Handful of Worship page
We now have a video sideshow of our Strawberry Afternoon Teas event, which you can watch here.
Keep in touch
Each Sunday there will be a Zoom meeting for anyone who is interested from both St Paul's and St Nick's. (Confused? This is a fairly simple process where you click on a link sent to you in an email, and a small programme will download, then you can chat by video with lots others, for up to 40 minutes or as short a time as you wish).
To ask for an invitation, use this contact form.
We also have a Zoom prayer and chat session on a Wednesday. If you would like to join this as well as Sunday, just add a note in the contact form above, or use this contact form.
