On June 12th 2016, the day dawned dull and wet, but despite the clouds and rain we had a truly enjoyable day. It started with our All Age service which was really well attended, then everyone moved up to the hall where we saw all the cakes which had been made in celebration of the event. There was a prize awarded for the best decorated one - well done Simon - and also a prize for the best child's crown. Then it was tea, coffee, and of course, cake!
The event move up to Quarndon Cricket Club where there were a variety of events; Jugalubs came with all their circus skills challenges, there were Messy Church crafts, and later games and musical entertainment from Millie Butcher - thank you Millie!
A copy of 'The Servant Queen' (a book prepared specially for Her Majesty's birthday celebrations) was given to every family or household attending.
A fabulous day!
