It may have been cold and snowy outside, but it was warm in our church today as everyone came together for Mothering Sunday, to remember our mothers and give thanks to a loving God for them and for all he gives us. It was an enjoyable morning with songs, a drama, puppets and a talk about God's mother-like love for us. Every lady in church got at least one potted Primula (those with more than one child did well) to brighten up the home or garden - just the job on a dull day. Afterwards there was coffee and tea with Simnel cake - a special tradition in St. Paul's on Mothering Sunday.
