Evidence For The Resurrection

A teaching evening on evidence for the resurrection, including a look at alternative theories. On the first Easter Day people discovered that Jesus’ tomb was empty and his disciples began to claim he’d met with them and spoken with them. At a time when traditional encouragements for faith are still weakening in society generally, the need for Christians to have a thorough understanding of their faith is increasing, not least so they can share it with others. This evening will be an opportunity to consider some key evidence and reasoning behind Christian faith.

Shrove Tuesday Morning Social and Prayer Trail

There’ll be refreshments, non-embarrassing games and a half-hour worship time, most of it spent on a prayer trail following in the footsteps of Jesus, reflecting on different aspects of his life. For those who prefer to remain seated the ‘trail’ will be available on a screen, though this won’t include anything practical.  This will run from 10.30am to 12noon, so that those who don’t like to go out in the evenings can come, and then again from 7.30 to 9pm.
